The Charity
the American Childhood Cancer Organization was founded in 1970 by a group of parents whose children had been diagnosed with cancer. They have been advocates for families affected by cancer on a federal level, but they have also provided much needed educational materials for children and their families. Their free books and dvd's (including the popular "Paul and the Dragon" dvd) aimed at young children have much needed information in a gentle yet honest way.
The Song
"Into Spring" was written in what is the "earliest" spring I can remember having- there wasn't much of a winter in Indiana, and, as I type this, we seem to have skipped spring entirely and gone right to summer. The song itself captures pretty well the feeling of spring mornings here in our rural area.
