The Charity
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation was founded in Philadelphia, PA in 1970, with the purpose of researching the causes and potential treatment of juvenile diabetes (also known as Type I diabetes). Since then, the JDRF has awarded more than 1.6 billion dollars to diabetes research, supporting beta cell therapy (replacing or regenerating the beta cells that produce insulin) and immune system therapy.
The Song
For the last Provision single, I wanted to provide a bit of a circular link to the first Provision single, "Where All Rivers Begin". The end of that song proved to be a good launching point for a new song, and "Where All Rivers End" took life as a new arrangement.
